Weed In The Wind

Bookxcess receipt story No.0034

The sky was clear.
The breeze was gentle.
The tall, blonde beauties were basking in the sun.
I hated them. Oh! how they swayed on their long, anaemic feet surrounded by their silly, fluttering admirers.

Their magnificent golden crown of glory made passers-by turned and stared.
I sulked. Nobody noticed a weed like me.
Plain.
Stubborn.
Suddenly, there was a scream, followed by another.
I looked up and saw the blondies being practically uprooted by a girl.

"Sunflowers! How Pretty!" She squeled.
"Now,aren't you glad that you're just a dandelion?"
a butterfly snickered at me and fluttered away.
